Save the Joba Mena : an investigation in Madagascar - mobile exhibition
Based on the true story of a major international investigation that began in November 2012 at London Zoo, Save the Joba Mena takes us from London to Madagascar with a thrilling tale that also presents an extraordinary human adventure involving scientists, aquarists, and the inhabitants of the Great Red Island.
During the three-week expedition, the team travelled many kilometres by road, hiked countless paths and inspected seven rivers in search of a female Joba Mena fish, with the sole purpose of creating a back-up population that could potentially save the critically endangered species from extinction.
Illustrated by comic-book artist Singeon, the mobile exhibition invites the public to join the rescue mission alongside Brian Zimmerman, curator at the London Zoo Aquarium and the inspiration behind the venture.
